SPIRIT OF A DANCER

The Heart Of a Dancer

It is said;
The heart of a dancer knows no bounds
 It carries her through the whirl wind and the scotching sun
It takes her through the fiery flames and the blizzards
It makes her stand through pain and stand her ground

The heart of a true dancer is like a golden orb
Forever graceful,
Ever radiant,
Takes in music,
Gives out rhythm......

             Are you a dancer?

Do you have a heart of a dancer?

She gave her Soul to Dance (Dance and Love)

For Rosetta, it started with the subconscious body movements and the mastery of certain dance poses. The feeling developed into interest, interest into passion, passion into obsession. Rosetta became obsessed with dance. At the age of 19, Rosetta became a professional contemporary dancer; her jumps, her twirls, her stunts, her poses were perfect. To some people, She was impossible; to her dance partners, she was incredible; to her family, she was a spirited dancer but to Rosetta, she was contemporary dance itself. Her story amazed and tingled the ears of all who heard, she was also a motivation to those that had the passion for dance.

Rosetta Ramsay was born into an average family in London. She had three brothers all in the navy, lost her father in a mining accident when she was 8years old and two years after her father's death, she decided to take up dance classes which luckily for her was not far from her little home. Raising Rosetta wasn't an easy task at all, neither was her first day at the dance class. Lucy graham, one of the dance instructors never let Rosetta out of her sight during the dance sessions. She eased Rosie's pain and made dancing effortless for her owing to her(Rosie's) condition. Lucy left town but before she did, she handed Rosie over to Brook, the new dance instructor. Now that was when Rosie took it upon herself to be a dancer all her life. She fell in love with Brook, and not just Brook, but everything about him which was dance. Brook was a few years older than Rosetta, sturdy looking but with the meekness of a lamb. He treated Rosie like the queen of dance she really was and that made Mrs. Ramsay, Rosie's mother, a very happy mother.

Rosie was running to the dance studio one night, she had missed that day's training because she left town to visit her brothers at the navy wharf. She got there but she couldn't see the lights on through the windows, 'where could everyone be' she thought, she felt sad cause she had promised to meet with Brook that night. She turned the door knob and it was unlocked, she breathed a sigh of relief and walked up the stairs into the dark hall. Searching for the light switches, she found the switch for the dim lights and she suddenly changed her mind about turning on the brighter lights. She took off her bag and t-shirt, wearing just a bra top and a pair of pants she assumed her dance pose, closed her eyes and began to twirl, split, spin and jump in the dim light. After a while, she felt a cold palm gently holding her neck and a kiss landed on her shoulder. She was so sure it was Brook and yes it was, he had been watching her dance. She stood still as Brook took her in a warm embrace and pressed her body against his. She breathed hard against his neck as he kissed her neck with desire and her lips later with passion. With his hands racing through her hair and her body, he slowly took off her jogger pants stripping her to just her black bra top and black panties. Rosetta stepped backwards and stared into his hazel eyes. He wasn't going to do anything yet, he just wanted to dance with her. Then he offered his hand for a dance and with an expressionless face, Rosie followed Brook's lead. Starting with the basics, they let their bodies slide against each other's, He was feeling every part of her, she was feeling every part of him. Then Rosetta knew, she was destined to dance, she was in love with spins and turns and above all, she was in love with Brook. He ended with a dip and on the floor, they both lay, touching each other's fingers and kissing deeply. He finally stripped her to her birthday suit and made passionate love to her. With her eyes closed as she let out stiff moans, she knew one thing, she had given her soul over to dance.

Now Rosetta was born deaf and dumb, but that didn't change her story and passion, she was indeed a Spirited Dancer.
